Authors are invited to submit original papers for presentation at the 32nd OptoElectronics and Communications Conference (OECC 2027), to be held from July 4 to July 8, 2027, at The Splendor Hotel Taichung, Taichung, Taiwan.
Submitted papers should report original and unpublished research results in the fields covered by the OECC 2027 technical scope. All papers must be written in English and submitted electronically through the official OECC 2027 paper submission system.
Each author is requested to prepare:
- A 35-word abstract
- A three-page paper using the designated OECC 2027 paper template
References may carry over to the 4th page if necessary. However, acknowledgements are not allowed to extend beyond the 3rd page.
Authors must use the official OECC 2027 template and should not modify the layout, margins, font size, line spacing, or other preset formatting styles. Papers that do not follow the required format may be rejected without review.
The OECC 2027 paper template and keyword list will be available on the conference website.
Authors should select the most appropriate technical section during submission. The OECC 2027 technical program includes the following sections:
- S1. Optical Active Devices and Modules
- S2. Optical Passive Devices and Modules
- S3. Optical Fibres, Cables and Fibre Devices
- S4. Access/Data Center/Core Networks and Subsystems
- S5. Transmission Systems and Subsystems
- S6. Quantum and Silicon Photonics
In conjunction with OECC 2027, Information Photonics 2027 (IP2027) will also include the following topics
- IP1. Information Acquisition
- IP2. Metaverse Photonics and Information Display
- IP3. Information Processing
- IP4. Optical Imaging and Metrology
- IP5. Optics in Experimental Mechanics
- IP6. AI for Photonics and Optical Imaging
Authors should choose the section that best matches the main contribution of their paper.
Authors must create a PDF file for manuscript submission. The PDF file must be compatible with IEEE Xplore requirements.
Authors are strongly encouraged to use IEEE PDF eXpress to check or generate an IEEE-compliant PDF file before submission.
The OECC 2027 IEEE PDF eXpress Conference ID will be announced on the conference website.
Please note that checking a PDF file through IEEE PDF eXpress and submitting the paper to OECC 2027 are two separate procedures. After generating or verifying the PDF file, authors must return to the OECC 2027 paper submission system and complete the submission process.
All papers must be submitted through the official OECC 2027 online submission system by the paper submission deadline.
During submission, authors will be asked to provide:
- Paper title
- Author names and affiliations
- Corresponding author information
- 35-word abstract
- Technical section
- Keywords
- Presentation preference, if applicable
- PDF manuscript file
Papers submitted by e-mail will not be accepted.
All submitted papers will be reviewed by the Technical Program Committee. Papers will be evaluated based on originality, technical quality, clarity, significance, and relevance to the OECC 2027 scope.
The final presentation format, either oral or poster, will be determined by the Technical Program Committee. Authors will be notified of the review result by e-mail.
At least one author of each accepted paper must complete registration by the author registration deadline. Accepted papers without completed author registration may be removed from the final program and conference proceedings.
At least one registered author must present the accepted paper at the conference. Papers that are not presented at the conference may be excluded from the official proceedings and may not be submitted for inclusion in IEEE Xplore.
